The First Base Foundation is an ever growing organization that has the ultimate goal of affecting as many young men and women in the San Francisco Bay Area as possible. In order to fulfill this goal as well and efficiently as possible, FBF has developed a funding strategy to not only support its current programs, but also to promote growth into as many neighborhoods and communities as possible. This funding strategy takes a two-pronged approach that leads to stability and growth as outlined below.

The First Base Foundation has developed a sponsorship program in which individuals, businesses, and other organizations alike can sponsor individual athletes or groups of athletes in their athletic and educational endeavors. Across all of its programs, the First Base Foundation calculates the cost for one young man or young woman to participate in one program for one season to be $200.00. The $200.00 figure includes equipment, professional coaching and training, uniforms, league and tournament fees, field and gym use, and transportation costs. No participant will be turned down or not allowed to play based on his or her inability to afford suitable/safe equipment.

It is the role of the generous sponsors to keep existing programs running and keeping the youth of the community off the streets and on the playing field. Without these important sponsors, the First Base Foundation would not be able to continuously offer such great opportunities to the sons and daughters of our community. It is important for the First Base Foundation's reputation to its participants that it is a lasting source of enjoyment, education, and fun that is here to stay. For many children involved in the programs, it is this reliability that means everything, since often times, reliability has been hard to come by in their young lives.
