Contrary to popular belief, great baseball players don’t just spring out of thin air, ready to play a perfect game. These players understand that the secret to success is founded in the mental and physical preparations before practices and games. Proper warm-up and stretching techniques are fundamental to success, and no one understands this better than the Coaches of the California Warriors Fall Ball Team.
Just like all the great Major League players, the Fall Ball team stretches and warms up for at least an hour before practice and games. Coach Banaugh leads the players in warm-up drills such as stretching, running, calisthenics, and balance exercises. These drills are designed to prevent a player’s body from being compromised and injured, while simultaneously creating healthy, strong, and motivated players.
