The 19u Bay Area Warriors started off their season by taking 3rd place in the Gladiator Tournament in Livermore. The Warriors got a win from Alex Fernandez in game 1, who went 5 strong innings striking out 9 in a 5-0 win. James McReynolds came in to get the save Keenen Britten sparked the offense with a 3 run triple.
In game 2 the Warriors fell to the Thundersox 6-4. Derrick Bagley put together a solid game offensively with two extra base hits.
In game 3 the Warriors pulled out a wild 11-8 win over Team Yaya. Justin Gubser was the offensive star driving in 3 with two long doubles. Steven McReynolds picked up the win in relief and Daniel Comstock came in for the two inning save. Jordan Lazor had a solid start striking out 6 in 4 innings.
Other top performers this weekend were Ian light with 3 hits, 3 SB’s and 3 RBI’s. Derrick Bagley also collected 3 hits this weekend.
The Warriors will continue there season with doubleheaders this upcoming Saturday and Sunday
