“Small-town kid makes dreams come true.”

Described by Warriors GM, Noah Jackson, as “extremely, humble with an incredible work ethic,” Mitch Delfino was drafted to the Giants in the 20th round. He is a First Base Foundation alumnus, who played with the collegiate team beginning his junior year of high school.

As a second-team USA All-American out of high school, Delfino went on to pursue higher education at the University of California, Berkeley.  At Cal, he was the starting third baseman and led his team in hitting.

Jackson went on to say, that Delfino was a “success story since the first day we had him.”  He is the first member of his family to attend college, and the First Base Foundation is ecstatic to have been a part of his promising baseball career.
