The 5 Buckets Foundation

The 5 Buckets Foundation was started out of a need to combat a vast lack of knowledge among people about basic financial concepts, which can contribute to higher rates of poverty, decreases in overall health, and lower employment rates. They envision a world where all people have the financial education to build a successful future.

In partnership with The 5 Buckets Foundation, we are excited to be offering presentations on financial literacy to the players and parents who participate in our programs. Absorbing and implementing this knowledge is critical for young people to build a strong foundation for their future, and we are grateful to 5 Buckets for sharing their expertise!

Steelemack Strategies

Steelemack Strategies is a full-service advisory boutique specializing in providing transparency and guidance to high school baseball players who want to play college baseball. Mack Meyer, the founder of Steelemack Strategies, is a California Warriors alumnus who pitched for the University of San Francisco and the University of Virginia. He graduated from UVA in 2018 with a Master’s Degree in the field of Higher Education before signing as a free agent with the San Francisco Giants and playing minor league ball for two seasons.

As someone with first-hand experience on the matter, Mack understands that the baseball recruiting process is challenging and stressful for families who are unfamiliar with how the recruiting timeline functions and how best to approach communication between players and college coaches. Steelemack Strategies will educate and assist your family in creating a road map with concrete guidance that puts your student athlete in a position to be recruited while helping you understand and pursue the opportunities available.

Slater Admissions Advising

Slater Admissions Advising provides private, comprehensive, one-on-one college admissions advising for students who intend to enroll in four-year universities. Joe Slater utilizes his vast experience in college athletics and administration to guide all types of students through the complex worlds of academic and athletic admissions and recruiting.

Joe has served as an administrator and coach at some of the top universities in California, but he traces his career back to the start he got with the California Warriors! He coached the California Warriors collegiate summer teams for two years before taking a job as Director of Operations with University of San Francisco Baseball. He joined FBF founder Noah Jackson as a coach at University of the Pacific for two years and then moved into administration at UC Berkeley. Joe spent four years at Cal serving in Operations, Fundraising, and finally Admissions where he worked as a liaison between the athletics programs and campus admissions staff to help make sure recruits gained entry into the prestigious university.

Joe earned his Certificate in College Planning from UC Berkeley and has been helping students and families navigate the college admissions world ever since. He works with every type of student through the entire process of creating a college list, building an application strategy, writing essays, financial aid questions, and making the final decision that is right for their future.
